Who we recruit

We recruit regulated health professionals and the support staff around them for clinics, long-term care and retirement homes, home care agencies, rehabilitation practices and hospitals. For nursing roles specifically, see our nurse recruitment page.

Licensing and credentials in Ontario

Regulated health professionals must be registered with their Ontario regulatory college before they can practise — for example the College of Nurses of Ontario, the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario or the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. Internationally educated professionals often need months to complete registration, so we check where each candidate is in that process before you interview them.

Personal support workers are not a regulated profession in Ontario, but most employers ask for a recognized PSW certificate or equivalent training, plus a recent vulnerable sector check.

Canadian and international sourcing

We start with candidates already in Canada, including newcomers with open work permits. When you need to hire from abroad, hospitals and nursing and residential care facilities are exempt from ESDC's refusal to process low-wage LMIAs in high-unemployment areas such as Toronto, and their cap on low-wage temporary foreign workers is 20% instead of 10%. We confirm which stream applies to each role and build the LMIA file with you.

Where we recruit

We serve employers across the Greater Toronto Area — including Scarborough, North York, Mississauga and Brampton — and throughout Ontario, with candidates sourced across Canada and internationally.

How we work with employers

  1. 01

    Workforce brief

We learn the roles, headcount, wages, shifts, location and start dates, and the licences or certificates each role requires.

  2. 02

    Sourcing plan

We decide where to look — local talent, other provinces or international candidates — and whether an LMIA or an LMIA-exempt route is realistic for each role.

  3. 03

    Screening

Structured interviews, reference checks and verification of credentials, licences and work eligibility before you meet anyone.

  4. 04

    Shortlist and offer

You interview a shortlist of qualified candidates. We help with the offer and, for international hires, the immigration steps.

  5. 05

    Arrival and onboarding

We coordinate start dates, arrival and onboarding, and check in after the worker starts.

Frequently asked questions

Can you recruit internationally educated nurses and therapists?

Yes, but they can only practise once their Ontario regulatory college registers them. We screen for registration status early and plan start dates realistically.

Does Toronto's pause on low-wage LMIAs affect healthcare employers?

Hospitals and nursing and residential care facilities are exempt from it. Other healthcare employers, such as private clinics, may not be, so we check your industry classification first.

Do PSWs need a licence in Ontario?

PSWs aren't regulated in Ontario, but employers usually require a recognized PSW certificate or equivalent training, and a vulnerable sector check.
