Who we recruit
We recruit for residential, commercial, institutional and infrastructure projects — from general labourers to certified tradespeople, equipment operators and site supervisors.
Certification and safety training in Ontario
Work in Ontario's compulsory trades, such as electrician (309A) and plumber (306A), requires a Certificate of Qualification from Skilled Trades Ontario or registration as an apprentice. Internationally trained tradespeople can apply for a trade equivalency assessment before writing the certification exam.
Workers on construction projects who may use fall protection must complete Working at Heights training from a provider approved by Ontario's Chief Prevention Officer, and workers handling hazardous products need WHMIS training. We verify certificates and training records before candidates reach your site.
Canadian and international sourcing
We recruit locally and across Canada first. Construction is exempt from ESDC's refusal to process low-wage LMIAs in high-unemployment areas such as Toronto, and its cap on low-wage temporary foreign workers is 20% instead of 10%, so international recruitment through an LMIA remains an option for many construction roles. Higher-paid trades often qualify for the high-wage stream.
Where we recruit
We support contractors across the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, including project sites outside the major cities.
How we work with employers
- 01
Workforce brief
We learn the roles, headcount, wages, shifts, location and start dates, and the licences or certificates each role requires.
- 02
Sourcing plan
We decide where to look — local talent, other provinces or international candidates — and whether an LMIA or an LMIA-exempt route is realistic for each role.
- 03
Screening
Structured interviews, reference checks and verification of credentials, licences and work eligibility before you meet anyone.
- 04
Shortlist and offer
You interview a shortlist of qualified candidates. We help with the offer and, for international hires, the immigration steps.
- 05
Arrival and onboarding
We coordinate start dates, arrival and onboarding, and check in after the worker starts.
Frequently asked questions
Can I still get LMIAs for construction labourers in Toronto?
Construction is one of the sectors exempt from the refusal to process low-wage LMIAs in Toronto. Advertising, wage and cap rules still apply, and we confirm them for each role.
Do you check trade certificates?
Yes. For compulsory trades we confirm a Certificate of Qualification or apprenticeship registration with Skilled Trades Ontario, along with safety training such as Working at Heights.
Can you recruit for a single project?
We recruit for both permanent roles and fixed-term project needs. Tell us the project timeline and we'll recommend the right approach.
